Access Your Favorite WebPages Even Faster

Have you ever wanted to have immediate access to a website without all the clicking, searching and waiting time? No more opening the Internet, waiting for a page to load, typing in the web address or searching through all your bookmarks and finally getting to the page you are looking for. If you are interested in learning how to save a few steps and time, read on. I have posted a few different options to choose the one(s) that work best for you.

Option 1-Quick
Right click on your task bar at the bottom of your screen (near you clock in the lower right corner), select TOOLBARS then select ADDRESS.
You will then see a new address bar at the bottom of your screen.
Here, all you have to do is type in the webpage you want to go to, hit enter and the Internet will open immediately to the specified page.

Option 2-Quicker
While on the webpage you want quicker access to (much quicker than searching your bookmark catalog) find a blank area of the web page and right click.

           Google Chrome
           Select Save As

Select your desktop, name it what you want then select Save.

          Internet Explorer
           Select Create Shortcut

Another window will pop up asking if you want to put a shortcut to this website on your
           desktop, select  Yes.

          Firefox
          Select Save Page As

Select your desktop, rename it and select Save.

Option 3-Quickest (Windows 7 and above only)
While in your favorite web browser, at the bottom of the screen, right click on the icon in the taskbar and select Pin this program to taskbar (NOTE: You can do this with ANY program while open in the bottom of the screen)
Then if you notice the webpage you have open is in that window as well, under Frequent/Most Visited.  If you hover over the webpage in the list, you will see a little pushpin show to the right of it.
If you select that pushpin, the webpage will jump to the top and now be under the label Pinned.
You will also notice the pushpin turned changed the way it looks.  This will stay pinned until you select to unpin it by clicking on the pushpin again.
Now your favorite web browser and webpage will always be accessible from the bottom of your screen.

You now have instant, double-click access to your favorite webpage right from your desktop without all the steps you used to have to take to get there.  You can save that to any place on your computer you wish, it does not have to be just your desktop.

Now what to do with all those minutes you will save, hmm?  I know, keep reading my blog for more tips on how to make your computing life a little easier.

ENJOY!
