Have you ever found yourself in any situation where you needed to get the "product key" of a program you have installed on your computer? Maybe you just bought a new computer and need to reinstall a program on it that you used on your old computer, but you just realized you only have the installation disk and have lost the product key. Now you can't finish your installation. What do you do? Do you give up and never use the program again? Do you call Customer Support of the program you bought hoping you did the registration process and that they can retrieve that info for you? Do you go out and buy a new one, spending more money on a program you already own?
Well I had this very thing happen to me. I had installed the full version of Microsoft Office 2007 on my desktop and recently got a new laptop. There was a trial version on it of Office 2007 on my laptop but had limited access to features and expired after 90 days. After digging around for and finally finding my installation disk, I realized I no longer had the box the product/activation key was on. Worried and asking myself all the same above questions on what to do now, I started searching on-line as to what I could do. I found the following that I wanted to share with you in case you ever need to do that same thing.

If you have lost the product key for Microsoft Office 2010 and looking for the way to recover it from your installed full version, then here is a freeware tool called ProduKey that will help you.
ProduKey Recover Office 2010 Product Key

This will show you a few other product keys for some other installed programs on your computer you are running it on. All you have to do is download to your computer, open it then open the Produkey.exe file and VIOLA! You will get your product key. This MUST be done on the computer that has the FULL version on it already to retrieve the key from it. Not all programs will show up on here but most all that require a product/activation key at installation should show up in the list.
I also decided to do a little research myself after I knew the name of the program. I wanted to make sure this was a legit program and not just some scam or some virus I was about to install on my computer.
I found the website itself HERE.
It can also be found on Download.cnet.com HERE.
It was also featured on PCWorld as well HERE.
I scanned it with my AVG Virus scanner program and it did not find any problems.
